What Is Baptism?
Baptism is the act of obedience when believers publicly testify to their faith.
- Baptism is submission– Christ commands; I obey (Matthew 28:19-20).
- Baptism is a statement– “I am following the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 2:41).
- Baptism is a symbol– Illustrating Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and our new life in him (Romans 6:1-4; 1 Peter 3:21-22).
